Global Visa Center World (Hellas) opened in China. Visa processing within one week.
On June 1, 2018, the GVCW held a reception for the inauguration event of the Visa Application Center in Guangzhou.
More than 50 people in charge and related media attended the event. Among them were the Consul General of Greece in Guangzhou Mr. Grigoris Tassiopoulos, the president of GVCW Mr. Eleftherios, Oikonomou, the CEO of GVCW Mr. Dimitris Platis, local partners in Guangzhou and outbound travel agencies.
Consul General Mr. Tassiopoulos during his speech congratulated GVCW for the opening in China and stated his belief that the new visa center can provide better services to Chinese citizens traveling to Greece. In addition, the Consulate General will further accelerate the visa process by ensuring that visas applied in Guangzhou will take two days to be processed and no more than a week.
During his speech, Eleftherios Oikonomou, chairman of GVCW, said that an important determinant of the establishment of Visa Service Provider in China by Global Visa Center World, is the “One Belt and One Road” initiative. Greece is an important and unique hub in the "One Belt and One Road" initiative blueprint as it is the gateway to Europe. Just as China’s COSCO Group transformed Piraeus into Europe’s largest receiving port of Chinese products, Greece, has been chosen by the Chinese government as their premier partner in Europe. The 15 Visa Application Centers opened by the GVCW in China will be dedicated to increasing the number of Chinese tourists visiting Greece and providing quality services.
